Job description

Overview

As a member of the team you will be responsible for preparation, cooking, and presentation of food and assisting in running sections of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present freshly made food.
• To assist in the running of a section in the kitchen ensuring the correct levels of stock and mis en place are maintained and the cleanliness of the section.
• To ensure that the restaurant standards are maintained in terms of food quality and presentation
• To be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and the back of house areas and to ensure that all requirements (both statutory and Company) are met in relation to Health & Safety and Food Safety.
• To ensure all food preparation, handling and storage is carried out adhering to company hygiene standards.
• To take responsibility for portion control and wastage to ensure gross profits are achieved
• To demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene in terms of both appearance and working practices
