Job summary

Michelin is hiring a Commercial Tyre Technician in Hemel Hempstead to service tyres at customer bus garages. The role offers a starting salary of £28,500 to £34,200 with up to 11% bonus, a company van, and a strong benefits package.

You will fit, inspect and maintain tyres, lift heavy wheels, and process job sheets. Training is provided, with shifts starting early and occasional late-night fleet inspections.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fit, inspect, and maintain bus tyres onsite at customer bus garages.
• Lift, move and manoeuvre heavy tyres as part of day‑to‑day duties.
• Process your job sheets in internal system.
• Manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Carry out fleet inspections approximately once a week, starting around 12am–2am when vehicles return to the depot.
• Start work around 5–6am on remaining days.

We are looking for a Commercial Tyre Fitter to join our Connected Solutions Team. This role is ideal if you enjoy staying active, working with your hands, and prefer practical work over desk‑based tasks. You will be paired up with one of our experts, and we will provide comprehensive training to equip you for success in this role.

What will you be doing?

• Fit, inspect, and maintain bus tyres onsite at our customer’s bus garages.
• Lift, move and manoeuvre heavy tyres as part of day‑to‑day duties.
• Process your job sheets in internal system.
• Managing workload and prioritising tasks effectively.
• Approximately once a week, you'll carry out fleet inspections, which typically start between 12am and 2am when vehicles return to the depot.
• For the remaining four days, you’ll start work around 5-6am.

You have:

• Full UK driving license, which you’ve held for a minimum of 2 years
• Right to work in the UK
• Basic IT skills
• Willingness to work flexibly
• Candidates ideally live near Hemel Hempstead
