Responsibilities

• Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned.
• Assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for size, amount and type.
• Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is complete and accompanies shipments.
• Maintain professional representation of the Company in all customer interactions.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including driver logs, fuel and mileage.
• Abide by safety policies and transportation regulations.
• Occasionally operate forklifts or related equipment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Location: Bergey's Commercial Tire, Reading PA

Pay: $19 to $24 / hour based on experience

Summary:
To provide secure and timely driving services to transport products.

• Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned
• Assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type
• Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company
• Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies delivery
• Maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers & through responsible driving
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy
• Abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations
• Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.)
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with gooddriving record
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
