The role

As a Commercial Support Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on both prime (customer-facing) and subcontract requirements, supporting contract execution and close‑out. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals in a central governance team, helping shape commercial strategies that make a real difference to national security and operational success.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll provide vital commercial expertise to ensure the successful delivery of complex defence projects.

• Manage contracts small contracts with the support from the wider commercial team.
• Provide commercial support and advice to project teams throughout contract lifecycle.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to queries and ensure accurate reporting.
• Other Commercial administrative tasks.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days in the office/onsite and 1 day working from home.

Essential experience of the Commercial Support Advisor

• Knowledge of general contracting principles.
• Familiarity with SAP, Coupa, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Logical and organised approach to work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Qualifications for the Commercial Support Advisor

• HNC level, preferably in Engineering or Business Studies.
• Legal, CIPS, or WCC qualification (advantageous).
