Commercial Specification Manager

Field-Based throughout Northern Ireland
£50,000 - 55,000 base plus bonus and company car

Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with a global leader in plumbing and heating solutions, who are seeking to appoint a Commercial Specification Manager to drive specification growth and market share across Northern Ireland within the commercial, HEVAC, and OEM sectors.

As Commercial Specification Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and specification development within the commercial and OEM markets, ensuring long-term business relationships are established and maintained across multiple customer groups.

Your new role as a Commercial Specification Manager
  • Achieve personal sales and pipeline targets while supporting overall national sales goals.
  • Promote and secure product specifications across the HEVAC and OEM markets.
  • Develop and deliver sales strategies to grow market share and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, FM providers, and distributors.
  • Work closely with CAD teams and Area Sales Managers to ensure projects are delivered successfully from concept to completion.
  • Keep CRM records up to date and manage projects through each stage of the sales process.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities through regular engagement with distributors and OEM partners.
  • Meet agreed performance KPIs, including customer visits, events, and exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with National Key Account and Distribution Management Teams to support key clients.
  • Develop OEM distributor agreements and explore opportunities within the agricultural and KANBAN sectors.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven track record in commercial specification sales within the plumbing, heating, or HVAC industry.
  • Experience selling into social housing and domestic new-build markets.
  • Strong technical understanding of plumbing, heating, and underfloor systems.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and ideally SAP.
  • Skilled in relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Full UK/ROI driving licence and flexibility for regular travel.
