Job summary

ASDA is seeking an experienced Commercial SAP Solution Architect to design and deliver technology solutions in a rapidly evolving retail landscape. You will work on an advanced application landscape and help shape ASDA's technology decisions within a mature architecture practice.

The role focuses on SAP S/4 solutions for articles, pricing and promotions, with experiences in Azure and enterprise-scale delivery. A hybrid working model is offered with benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with the solution design of modern Commercial solutions utilising SAP S/4 across supplier, article, price, promotion and supplier funding.
• Experience architecting solutions for enterprise-scale retail environments.
• Ability to present at Design Authority and other decision-making forums to gain consensus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the designing of solutions involving SAP and Blue Yonder at the heart of the Commercial stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable architectures for retail tech.
• Contribute to the mature architecture practice and mentor junior colleagues.

Asda are looking for an experienced Solution Architect who has worked with SAP retail and has a thorough knowledge of managing Article, Price, Promotion etc in SAP. If you have architectural experience in solutions design for modern Commercial Applications, then pleasedo nothesitate to apply.

This role would ideally suit a passionate and experienced Architect to join a mature practice,workingwitha team of 40+ in asupportiveenvironment,withgreatopportunitiesforself-developmentand training.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience with the solution design of modern Commercial solutions utilising SAP S/4 across supplier, article, price, promotion and supplier funding

• Experience in architecting solutions utilising other technologies such as Microsoft Azure




• Experience in collaborating wellwithother technicalroles andbefamiliarwithworkingat enterprise scale defining innovative and fit for purpose solutions.

• Experience in solution design and a real passion for current technology trends.

• Strong grasp of different integration design patterns and technologies.

• Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind. Risk identification and mitigation, quantification and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.

• Excellent written skills and the ability to clearly distil complex architectures into consumable documents and views.




• Able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a way that is relevant, easy to consume and compelling.

• Ability to present at Design Authority and other decision-making forums, and gain consensus from a variety of stakeholders.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• A strong candidate would also have worked with technologies powering product and price management and commercial planning in the context of retail at an enterprise scale

• Experience in solution design, in the other tech domains such as infrastructure, cyber-security, data and integrations.

• Awarenessofarchitectureframeworks such asTOGAF

• Experience in modern EA tooling is desirable but not essential, training will be provided on Ardoq.

• Experience of working with Agile Architecture Methodology.
