Commercial Property Solicitor – 5+ Years PQE

Location: Congleton or Macclesfield

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Reports to: Head of Commercial Property

Overview

Puro Associates are working with a well‑established Cheshire‑based law firm seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload independently while contributing to the continued success and development of the commercial property team.

You’ll take responsibility for the full range of commercial property transactions and advisory work, building strong relationships with clients and delivering high‑quality, commercially focused advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, secured lending, and pension fund transactions.
  • Handle files from instruction to completion with minimal supervision, ensuring all work meets regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and financial management to achieve agreed performance targets.
  • Provide first‑class client service and develop lasting professional relationships.
  • Support the wider department by mentoring junior colleagues and providing cover during periods of absence when required.
  • Engage in business development initiatives and networking to attract and retain clients.
  • Contribute to marketing activities and firm‑wide projects that promote the firm’s services and reputation.
  • Ensure all documentation and correspondence are produced efficiently and in line with firm procedures using modern case management systems.
  • Keep client files organised in accordance with internal compliance and data management protocols.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and share ideas to improve processes and client service delivery.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial property law and practice.
  • Excellent communication and client‑handling skills with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative and approachable team player who contributes positively to a professional working environment.
  • Confident IT user with experience of legal software, digital case management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive in business development and client relationship management.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in commercial property law.
  • Demonstrable experience managing matters independently from instruction through to completion.
  • Proven record of achieving targets and maintaining excellent client satisfaction.
