Commercial Property Legal Secretary
Location: Reading
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

TSR Legal are working with a highly regarded law firm who are seeking a Commercial Property Secretary to join their busy team in Reading. Reporting directly to the Commercial Property Partner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the department, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing correspondence and documentation, including audio and digital dictation.
  • Handling transaction forms such as Land Registry and SDLT submissions.
  • Opening and closing client files, including drafting engagement letters.
  • Preparing first drafts of transaction documents and finalising for completion, including use of DocuSign.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and handling email correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients and external parties by telephone and email on behalf of fee earners.
  • Supporting transactions and assisting with general administrative duties as required.
  • Performing any other ad hoc tasks to support the team.
Experience and Attributes Required
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Legal Secretary, Administrator or PA within a legal or property environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident liaising with clients and professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and other relevant IT systems.
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills.
