Commercial Property Lawyer - Bristol - 5+ Years PQE

Location: Prince House, Bristol City Centre (with hybrid working available post-probation)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (Part-time applicants considered)

Salary: £50,000 to £80,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and focused Commercial Property Lawyer with 5+ years' post-qualification experience to join a well-established and forward-thinking team in central Bristol. The role offers the chance to work on high-quality matters for a diverse client base across Bristol and beyond, while playing an integral part in the growth and development of the firm's commercial property offering.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Handling sales and purchases of commercial properties and businesses, including mortgage and refinancing transactions
  • Advising on landlord and tenant matters, including leases, renewals, assignments, and licences
  • Managing development acquisitions and disposals, pension properties, and joint venture agreements
  • Supporting the Corporate and Commercial team on property-related aspects of transactions
  • Understanding and advising on commercial banking documents such as debentures and personal guarantees
  • Managing support services including departmental secretaries and paralegals
  • Maintaining financial control through accurate time-recording, billing, and cash flow management
  • Ensuring compliance with SAR, SRA Code of Conduct, and Lexcel requirements
  • Representing the firm at networking and sponsored events
  • Developing new sources of work and strengthening client relationships
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:

  • 5+ years PQE in commercial property/real estate
  • Experience in commercial lease transactions and property sales/purchases
  • Excellent organisational and people management skills
  • Strong client-facing and communication abilities
  • Enthusiasm for business development and networking
  • Confidence using and adapting to new IT systems and processes

  • FCILEx qualification
