Job description
Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Project Manager for execution of Energy Asset Projects. You will be responsible for all commercial elements of the project, using your experience to drive successful contract delivery. This is a key role on every project but is particularly important for high-profile and high-value Energy Asset Projects.

Your responsibilities
  • The role holder shall have comprehensive experience in the management of mid/large scale infrastructure projects, including:
  • Managing cross-functional teams, contributing to employee-development, diversity- and safety-awareness, fostering a psychologically safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Acting as role model and empowering people (leadership), managing international teams and bridging cultures.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial project management incl. cost optimization measures to improve project financials.
  • Planning and controlling of Energy Asset Projects, coordinating all commercial and risk aspects.
  • Leading development of procurement strategies, identifying suitable forms of contract and working with procurement and legal teams to prepare contracts and specific clauses.
  • Effective management of internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in contract and claim management regarding financial negotiations, with a proven ability to align tasks between procurement functions and contract managers.
  • Demonstration of excellent HSSE performance in the workplace and contribution to high HSSE standards.
  • Delivers high standards by ensuring compliance with Uniper and legal commercial requirements.
  • Responsible for managing appropriate change control mechanisms to ensure all expenditure remains compliant with Uniper financial policy.
Your profile
  • Relevant degree in a commercial/legal/technical subject and / or equivalent MBA or comparable project experience.
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 / APMP / IPMA) preferred, along with significant relevant commercial experience on complex technical works and construction projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on different contract types and forms of contract.
  • Strong and willing communicator, who is convincing and assertive.
  • Willingness to travel and to work within an international team
  • Diversity Management: embraces challenge and opportunities to enhance outcomes by evaluating situations from different perspectives, leveraging cultural differences.
  • MS Office and financial SAP skills
  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage
