A leading energy provider seeks a Commercial Project Manager in Maidstone to oversee major connection projects. The role involves lifecycle management from inquiry to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with various teams. Candidates should have a HNC in Electrical Engineering and project management experience. The position offers a salary of £80,574, a car allowance, and a 3% bonus, with blended working options after probation.
This Commercial Project Manager will report to the Major Connections Senior Project Manager and will work within Connections, Major Connections based in our Maidstone office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £80,574, car allowance and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) – 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

As the Commercial Project Manager you will manage several major connections in the SPN area and to ensure successful pre and post contract management of all projects to exceed the customer expectations. To complete commercial project management through full life cycle of the project from initial enquiry through to post investment appraisal following the UK Power Networks Project Governance and Control process.
A HNC in Electrical Engineering (or similar) is the preferred requirement. However, applications from candidates with a lesser qualification and a track record in either project management or distribution networks (design or construction) would be welcomed.
An understanding and use of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Experience of the Project Governance and Control process and a strong commercial awareness would be advantageous.
