Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of the Role

Join the BBC’s Procurement team to shape the future of marketing investment. As a Commercial Procurement Manager for Marketing, you’ll partner with stakeholders across the Customer Operating Group – including Marketing, Audiences, Media, the Licence Fee team and our in‑house Creative team – to influence sourcing strategies, drive commercial value, and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations. Your work will enable the BBC to deliver world‑class campaigns that connect with audiences while achieving optimal commercial outcomes.

Essential Criteria
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes in a publicly regulated environment, ideally within marketing categories.
  • Experience managing agency and supplier contracts, with a track record of driving commercial outcomes.
  • Analytical skills to interpret spend data and market trends, providing actionable insights for marketing investment.
  • Project management expertise to deliver complex procurement projects across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with marketing teams and external partners.
Desired but Not Essential
  • Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
  • Experience in media buying, creative services or digital marketing procurement.
  • Knowledge of emerging marketing technologies and trends.
  • Background in cost optimisation across marketing categories.
  • Mentoring or leadership experience in procurement teams.
