Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Commercial Policy, Assurance & Capability Manager in Salford. You will work across policy, capability and assurance to translate government requirements into practical, actionable guidance for departments.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, delivery of capability interventions and evidence-based reviews of commercial practice. It offers a permanent contract and a clear path to influence policy and standards across the organisation.

• Experience translating government policy into practical requirements.
• Ability to deliver capability interventions and provide evidence-based reviews.

Mansioni

• Act as a flexible team member, supporting priority commissions and providing resilience across policy and assurance.
• Develop, implement and improve BIST commercial policies, standards, and guidance.
• Own or support defined policy workstreams including consultation, governance and implementation planning.
• Maintain coherent commercial toolkits and ensure alignment as requirements change.
• Coordinate capability interventions such as guidance, inductions and practical resources for audiences.
• Support colleagues and partner organisations by responding to inquiries and engaging forums.
• Support proportionate assurance and governance activities including reviews, compliance checks and audits.
• Identify recurring risks and opportunities for process improvement from assurance activity and stakeholder feedback.
