Job summary

Metro Plumb North East in Sunderland is seeking a confident Commercial Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll handle domestic and commercial plumbing, heating installations and emergency repairs, with a strong focus on gas safety, problem-solving and delivering high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified
• Proven experience as a Plumbing/ Heating Engineer for domestic and commercial customers
• DBS checked (or willingness to be checked)
• Full UK driving licence
• Must have a clean criminal record and no CCJs/Black marks on a credit report
• Flexibility to work overtime

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of Plumbing and Heating work across domestic and commercial customers
• Attend heating and gas emergencies as well as general plumbing installations/leaks/issues
• Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs of plumbing and gas systems
• Install, repair, and maintain gas pipes, valves and fittings in structures
• Ensure compliance with current health and safety standards

We are seeking a Plumber to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in high-security environments and possess a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving, with a specific focus on gas safety and plumbing systems.

What’s involved?

We are looking for a confident Plumber and Heating engineer who can carry out all aspects of Plumbing and Heating work, including but not limited to, installation and maintenance of toilets, taps, ball valves, siphons, flexible hoses, pipework, radiator valves, cylinders boilers heating systems etc across a range of domestic and commercial customers. You will attend heating and gas emergencies as well as general plumbing installations/leaks/issues.

• Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs of plumbing and gas systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain gas pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing and gas emergencies.
• Perform inspections of plumbing and gas systems to identify and replace worn parts.
• Ensure compliance with current health and safety standards.

What are we looking for?

• Level 3 qualified
• Proven experience as a Plumbing/ Plumbing & Heating Engineer for both domestic and commercial customers
