Commercial Partnerships Executive

Marketing Manchester is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Commercial Partnerships Executive. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, development and delivery of an efficient and effective partnership service, including managing a portfolio of clients, coordination of partnership events and administration duties.

Marketing Manchester is Greater Manchester’s Destination Marketing Organisation and promotes the region nationally and internationally as a place to visit, invest, meet and study.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the partnership offer, working with the Head of Commercial Partnerships and setting objectives and activities that support annual targets, including the recruitment of new partners and delivery of the annual events strategy.
  • Work closely with all Marketing Manchester teams to maximise value for partners investing in Marketing Manchester activity (campaigns or partnership events).
  • Coordinate the annual partnership events strategy, ensuring all events are delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Act as the main internal point of contact for all partnership matters across Marketing Manchester.
  • Build and maintain long‑lasting relationships with private sector partners through effective account management.
  • Use the CRM system to manage the partner database, keeping Marketing Manchester teams updated on any key changes and ensuring all activity is accurately recorded.
  • Undertake all partnership administration, including maintaining status records, issuing invoices, and supporting event delivery such as delegate logistics.
  • Support the Communications Team in the development and administration of all partnership communications, including event information and the monthly e‑newsletter.
About you
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organised, with strong administration skills, including diary management and handling correspondence.
  • Able to work under own initiative, prioritise workloads, and meet agreed deadlines.
  • A positive, flexible attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside normal office hours, including weekends (with time off in lieu provided).
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong IT skills, including effective use of databases and general systems.
  • Experience in account management and project delivery.
  • Previous experience in an events, marketing, or communications environment.
  • Demonstrable experience working across a range of event disciplines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the tourism industry and the Greater Manchester tourism offer.
