The COSC works across the core areas of Theatreworks, Back Stage Tours, Filming/Photography hire, Publishing, and Retail with opportunities to work on ‘blockbuster’ events, as well as with world class brands, as and when they arise. Our work is critical to the organisation with all profits generated from these activities directly supporting the wider work and reach of the National Theatre in support of a world where theatre is thriving.

Your responsibilities will include taking a proactive approach to sales, developing relationships with clients and contribute to achieving the maximum customer lifetime value through exceptional service and customer experience whilst proactively exploring new opportunities. Working as part of a small team you will be motivated by achieving your individual targets as well as supporting colleagues in exceeding customer expectation and delivering financial results through year-on-year growth. You will be comfortable meeting new people, presenting in front of small groups and be adept at building rapport and influence through exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication.

Your attention to detail and commitment to delivering memorable and high-quality experiences will be crucial in successfully coordinating products and activities. Also, your adaptability will mean you can seamlessly switch between projects as you will be actively involved in a wide spectrum of commercial activities across the directorate, with opportunities to contribute to project development alongside your core sales, customer experience and coordinator responsibilities. You will thrive working in a fast paced multidisciplined environment where teamwork, agility and communication are the key to our success.

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication with exemplary sales and influencing skills.
  • Experience of liaising with a variety of clients and customers.
  • Excellent administrative, planning and organising skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and multiple workstreams.
  • Experience with financial processes, such as invoices and purchasing.
  • Experience in event coordination for both in-person and online events.

If that sounds like you, this may be the role for you!

Benefits
  • Complimentary staff tickets for shows and guided tours, subject to availability and policy
  • 25 days annual leave increasing up to 32 with length of service (plus bank holidays)
  • Development Programmes via e-learning platform, and specialist in-person training relating to role
