Due to current state and business requirement, this fast growing and prominent asbestos consultancy has an opportunity for a high calibre and self-driven Asbestos Commercial/Operations Director to join their busy team in and around the London area. Undertaking daily tasks such as managing staff, keeping clients/customers up to date and maintaining a good relationship and helping to improve the company’s business systems and procedures. Applications from Basildon Southend-On-Sea, Ashford, Dartford, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Ideally they would consider an individual holding the S301/CCP or the P402 qualifications and at the same must have significant valid and varied experience working within this role and within the asbestos industry. Holding a degree would be beneficial.

Must come from a strong commercial, management, technical, supervisory, operational and consultancy background.

Must have excellent communication, client-facing, organizational, people management and leadership skills.

Must be fully conversant with the water treatment industry.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Purpose of the Role:

Run the business effectively – operations side of the business and furthering the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing staff – Asbestos Surveyors and Asbestos Site Analysts and Laboratory Analysts
• Liaising with clients – building and maintaining a good rapport.
• Building the business effectively.
• Improving the company’s business systems and procedures, etc.
• Tenders and bids.
• Getting involved with Health & Safety, policies and procedures.
• Training and developing staff and other issues.
• Labour – sorting teams in order to improve efficiency.
• Meeting financial targets and goals.Getting involved with Key Performance Indicators.
• Dealing with any issues effectively and promptly.
