Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within construction, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts is essential.
• M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) experience is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrable expertise in cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ability to work effectively within a hybrid/remote environment, managing multiple priorities.

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure accurate cost control and value management.

Role - Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Manager (Outside IR35) – Location: Remote (with occasional site presence) – Duration: 6 Month Contract

A leading organisation within the UK energy and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager to support ongoing project delivery on a contract basis. These roles will play a key part in managing the commercial and contractual performance of a large-scale infrastructure project in the UK.

This is a remote position with occasional site visits as required, offering the flexibility to work independently while contributing to high-impact energy and infrastructure development that support the UK's net-zero transition.

Scope of Work

• Provide comprehensive commercial and contractual management support across all phases of project delivery.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure accurate cost control and value management.
• Oversee subcontract and supplier administration, including applications for payment, valuations, and change management.
• Support procurement, tendering, and contract negotiation activities in line with company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with NEC3 and NEC4 contract requirements, identifying and managing commercial risks.
• Assist project teams with cost analysis, progress reporting, and financial decision-making.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to provide commercial insight and ensure alignment with project objectives.
