Commercial Manager - Van & Truck Fleet Rental (B2B)

Our client, a leading European vehicle rental business, is seeking an experienced Van & Truck Commercial Manager to drive B2B revenue growth across the UK.

The Role:

Reporting to the UK Corporate Sales Director, you'll be responsible for delivering the company's van and truck EBITDA growth strategy. This is a strategic yet hands‑on position requiring you to achieve personal revenue targets while supporting SME, Corporate and Insurance sales teams to meet their V&T objectives. The role focuses on new customer acquisition, portfolio management, and ensuring excellent order fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver UK Van & Truck B2B revenue budget and growth strategy
  • Identify new geographical and sector opportunities for fleet expansion
  • Attend customer meetings and leverage detailed LCV product knowledge to close deals
  • Manage V&T customer portfolio performance and key metrics (utilization, RPD, retention)
  • Oversee fulfilment of major customer orders, ensuring on‑time delivery to specification
  • Support customers transitioning to e‑vans with TCO analysis and detailed proposals
  • Collaborate with Fleet, Operations, Marketing and station network to maximize growth
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Van & Truck sales management within vehicle hire/rental sector
  • Proven track record in B2B fleet rental with UK-wide multi‑site operations
  • Demonstrable success managing revenue targets and KPI performance
  • Strong LCV product knowledge including aftermarket equipment and specialist vehicles
  • Experience with e‑van fleet and electric vehicle transition strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management across all organizational levels
  • CRM proficient with strong analytical and forecasting capabilities
Location:

Hybrid - 2-3 days per week at Leicester HQ/customer visits, so can be based anywhere in the UK
