At our Gunstones Bakery in Dronfield, we produce some of the nation's favourite baked goods, including hot cross buns, brioche rolls, and iced buns, for major retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Tesco, and Aldi. About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of key retail accounts within a fast-paced environment onsite at Gunstones Bakery.

You will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, managing strong relationships with major multiple retailers such as M&S and Aldi and you will lead commercial strategies that shape the future of our Meal Solutions Business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking full ownership of up retail accounts, fostering strong customer relationships and delivering tailored presentations; travel to customer sites as needed
  • Partnering with retailers to accurately forecast volumes, plan promotions, and manage product costing
  • Developing and implementing joint business plans aimed at driving profitable sales growth
  • Leading price negotiations to optimise commercial outcomes and maintain product profitability
  • Collaborating and supporting the Commercial Executive to analyse market and category data, supporting insightful sales reporting and strategic decision-making
  • Liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment and successful execution of customer initiatives
About You

We are looking for a confident and driven Commercial Manager with a proven track record of managing retail accounts within the FMCG sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities and the capability to build and maintain lasting relationships with key customers.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Commercial Acumen such as numerical skills, experience managing P&L, accurate forecasting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships, collaborate internally, and influence retail buyers and team
  • Willingness to travel to retailer sites as needed
