Job Summary

Churchill Role: Act as the lead for a metro covering a number of sites, reporting directly into the Client Lead.

Client Deliverable Role: Provide comprehensive support and oversight for data center construction projects up to €1bn for a major technology client across Europe. This role involves a wide range of activities, including commercial and cost management, project management support, procurement coordination, risk and change management, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for central teams and contribute to the application of lessons learned across various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Roles:
  • Review and validate Monthly Cost Reports, Cashflow, Accruals, and Cost Variance Reports prepared by the Project Management Consultant (PMC).
  • Review and Assess Monthly Reports.
  • Conduct entitlement and cost analysis of change cases
  • PMC Landing Team Support:
  • Monitor the PMC’s compliance with program requirements, including review of PMC Project Plans, PCP, and Procurement Strategy.
  • Assist the landing team, including the handover of all project commercial functions.
  • Provide initial and extended support for the PMC on system tasks, including processing and administration of all contracts.
  • SPC Procurement Coordination:
  • Evaluate Request for Pricing (RFP) documents for compliance.
  • Attend SPC clarification meetings.
  • Assess SPC Contract Award Recommendations.
  • End-to-End (E2E) Risk & Change Management:
  • Review risks across the Metro projects and initiate transfers between projects as required.
  • Assess Risk Scoring.
  • Review and approve supporting documentation such as ‘what-ifs’ and cost estimates.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Central Team, escalating commercial and schedule issues and opportunities, communicating risks, and evaluating PMC and SPC performances.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Central Estimating, Contracts, and Schedule Teams.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify lessons learned (LL) and betterments, communicating them across the Metro and EMEA Region.
  • Support upcoming Metro Teams across EMEA, ensuring the application of lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the current E2E Change Order Form.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or another construction-related discipline (required).
  • 8–10 years of experience as a Commercial Manager, or a similar role within the construction industry.
