About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team in Weymouth, Dorset and take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of key aerospace projects. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the company's commercial success by leading contract negotiations, managing bids, driving pricing strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with major aerospace customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and management of customer and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all contract terms, export control regulations (ITAR, EAR, DFARS), and aerospace standards (AS9100).
  • Support tendering and bidding processes, developing pricing strategies and cost models to achieve margin targets.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Project Management teams to ensure accurate forecasting, invoicing, and risk control.
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and government / defence agencies.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.
About You

You're a commercially astute professional with a strong understanding of aerospace contracts and project delivery. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy building customer relationships, and can balance financial precision with strategic thinking.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in commercial or contract management within aerospace or defence (5–10 years).
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace supply chains, manufacturing, or MRO services.
  • Experience working with major customers such as Airbus, Boeing, MoD/DoD, Rolls‑Royce, Safran, or Leonardo.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of export control and international trade compliance.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or a related field (Master's or MBA desirable).
