Reynco Ltd are representing a respected specialist contractor to recruit a Commercial Manager who can bring strong JCT and NEC expertise to their Southern region. This is a critical senior hire created through succession planning, and the successful candidate will provide commercial leadership, contract governance, and guidance to a capable QS team across a busy, varied project workload.

Commercial Manager – Southern Region

Location: Southern England Territory (Flexible on candidate location)

Salary: Negotiable (DOE) + Attractive Package

About the Company

Our client is a well-established roofing and building envelope contractor with a strong national reputation for technical delivery, dependable commercial management, and long‑standing client relationships. With succession plans underway, this appointment plays a pivotal part in shaping and safeguarding the commercial function for the years ahead.

The Role

Provide commercial leadership and guidance to a team of Quantity Surveyors across the Southern region.

Lead on the administration, management, and interpretation of both JCT and NEC contracts across multiple projects.

Strengthen commercial governance, reporting, forecasting, and risk management processes.

Act as the lead for dispute avoidance and resolution, ensuring proactive commercial handling before issues elevate.

Offer contract‑law insight and advice to internal delivery teams, senior leadership, clients, and subcontractors.

Represent the commercial function in client meetings, supply chain discussions, and strategic decision‑making.

The Ideal Candidate

Extensive commercial management background within construction (roofing / building envelope advantageous but not essential).

Strong working knowledge and hands‑on administration of both JCT and NEC contracts from tender through to final account.

Demonstrable experience in dispute avoidance and resolution.

Confident understanding of contract law and its practical application in project environments.

Experience supporting, guiding, or mentoring QS teams (formal management not essential).

Stable, progressive career history with evidence of impact and commercial leadership.
