The Role

As a Commercial Manager, you'll be at the heart of our Mission Systems business, delivering innovative and pragmatic commercial solutions that make a real difference. You'll manage contracts, lead negotiations, and shape strategies that support critical defence projects - work that matters for national security and your career growth.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Provide contract management and governance support to business and commercial teams.
  • Undertake negotiations and pricing activities for growth opportunities.
  • Identify and implement pragmatic commercial solutions to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Support and coordinate the execution of commercial strategies.
  • Act as the commercial point of contact for queries across support contracts.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.

Essential experience of the Commercial Manager
  • Proven experience leading contract management activities across the full lifecycle.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify innovative solutions.
  • Experience creating proposals for organic growth or new opportunities.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Skilled in senior-level relationship management with customers.
Qualifications for the Commercial Manager
  • Ideally degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Law, or Accountancy.
  • Professional qualifications such as MCIPS, IACCM, or PGCCM (or willingness to work towards).
