Quantity Surveyor (Civil / Steel / Progression to Commercial Manager)

Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Commercial Manager

Location: Largely national (Clitheroe, Crewe, Market Drayton, Ebbw Vale, Nottingham, Redhill, Milton Keynes)
Salary: £55k + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Requirements: National travel (2‑3 days out per week)

As Commercial Manager, you will play a critical, high‑visibility role within a cross‑functional team, managing the relationship with one of our largest and most strategic retail partners. You will have ownership of key categories across both branded and private label, driving initiatives from concept to execution to deliver profitable, sustainable growth.

• Full P&L ownership of defined categories
• Responsibility for strategic planning, delivery and ongoing optimisation
• Exposure to broader business initiatives across a fast‑paced, acquisitive group

About You – Must‑haves:

• Strong working knowledge of FMCG
• Experience in a B2B, customer‑facing role with P&L accountability
• High levels of ownership, autonomy, resilience and dynamic results focus
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent collaboration skills

Desirable:

• Experience working with top 4 UK grocery retailers
• Exposure to both brand and private label
• Understanding of category growth principles
• Experience managing end‑to‑end NPD/EPD cycles
