Job summary

Clancy is recruiting an experienced Commercial Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive profitability on the SSE contract. You will manage budgets, risks and commercial strategies while mentoring professionals and shaping company strategy.

This permanent, full-time role is based in Basingstoke. The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial management within utilities, with NEC3 Options A & C knowledge, robust negotiation skills and a strategic mindset.

The Role:

As Commercial Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring contracts run efficiently, risks are managed, and profitability is maximised.

• You are an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in commercial management within the utilities sector.
• The ideal candidate will have significant management experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• You should be a confident communicator with the ability to present complex commercial data to stakeholders at all levels.
• A deep understanding of NEC3 contracts, particularly Options A & C, is essential.
• You will also need strong financial and commercial acumen, with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Working in a fast-paced environment requires resourcefulness, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• You’ll also be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving business success.
