Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Manager to lead across the Buildings Portfolio. The role involves ensuring projects are commercially robust, managing risks and maximising opportunities, and building trusted relationships with clients, supply chain partners and project teams.

Based from our offices in Basingstoke, Blackfriars or Gravesend, you will influence, challenge and drive improvements across a multi-project programme, leading and developing commercial teams in

• Proven experience in a senior commercial role within rail, infrastructure, construction or a related sector.
• Experience within a Framework/Portfolio environment would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual management expertise.
• Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• Strong commercial reporting, forecasting, risk management and change management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence, challenge and drive continuous improvement across a programme of works.

As Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial leadership across the Buildings Portfolio, ensuring projects are commercially robust, risks are effectively managed and opportunities are maximised. This role can be based from either of our offices in Basingstoke, Blackfriars or Gravesend, although regular attendance at key meetings in Blackfriars will be required.
