A leading metal manufacturing business based in Herefordshire is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to spearhead business growth across the UK. This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded leader who thrives on building strategic relationships, opening new markets, and elevating customer partnerships in technically demanding sectors.

You’ll serve as a key ambassador for the company's advanced metal products, driving expansion across aerospace, defence, medical, oil and gas, marine, and other high‑performance industries. Expect regular travel, close collaboration with internal teams, and the opportunity to shape commercial strategy for a respected manufacturer.

What you’ll be doing
  • Cultivating strong, long‑term relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Leading strategic sales initiatives and aligning commercial efforts across multiple sites
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of the company's portfolio of metal alloy products
  • Managing commercial negotiations and providing high‑level sales support
  • Overseeing key accounts throughout the UK and Europe, ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging growth opportunities
  • Working closely with operations, technical teams, and product management to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Supporting regional processes including logistics, credit control, and performance tracking
  • Reporting and explaining deviations from sales plans and performance targets
Additional Responsibilities
  • Negotiating and closing complex deals and long‑term agreements
  • Drafting and interpreting commercial, scientific, and financial contracts
  • Presenting product capabilities and supply‑chain solutions to customers
  • Travelling extensively across the region
  • Preparing professional reports and presentations using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
