Responsibilities
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of bespoke construction projects, typically ranging from 10 to 30 units.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including forecasting and cost reporting.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential commercial risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and contractors.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Site Managers and site teams to ensure project delivery meets the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • Proven track record in managing the commercial aspects of residential construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience at a senior level, including preparing and managing budgets.
  • Experience with land appraisals is advantageous.
  • Predominantly housing experience, with a willingness to engage in diverse projects such as extending nursing homes.
