  • Hours of work: Full Time - 40.00 per week
  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid working option available with 3 days working on site each week

About the Role: We're looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to play a key role within a leading Nuclear New Build project - one of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes in the UK.

In this position, you'll take ownership of the commercial administration of one or more major contracts, working closely with project delivery teams, senior stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure that commercial performance, governance, and value for money are maintained at every stage.

This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work on-site three days a week, with two days remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on and manage a portfolio of complex NEC contracts, overseeing compensation events, entitlement assessments, cost validation, and internal governance.
  • Provide commercial and contractual subject matter expertise to the Balance of Plant Delivery Team.
  • Produce, analyse, and present financial, contractual, and commercial data to support project decisions.
  • Collaborate with Change, Cost, Risk, and Schedule teams to ensure alignment and consistent project progress.
  • Manage and coordinate commercial negotiations and key contractual events from inception to implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to all commercial and financial governance processes and reporting requirements.
  • Administer contracts in line with delegated authorities and corporate assurance frameworks.
About You

You're a commercially astute professional with a proven track record of managing major infrastructure or power generation contracts - ideally within the nuclear, energy, or large construction sectors. You bring a proactive mindset, a strong grasp of NEC and FIDIC contracts, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments confidently and credibly.

Essential Experience
  • Demonstrable expertise in commercial and contract management with major engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Deep understanding of contract performance measurement, risk, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC experience applying best practice contract methodologies.
  • Skilled negotiator with sound judgement and the ability to make well-informed commercial decisions.
  • Understanding of UK contract law and its application within project delivery environments.
Desirable
  • Experience working on large-scale nuclear or regulated infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions and UK regulatory frameworks.
  • Exposure to FIDIC contracts and/or joint venture delivery models.
