Job summary

A leading procurement consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a candidate for a procurement role requiring Inside IR35 compliance and DV clearance. Responsibilities include evaluating procurement contracts, managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, and commercial negotiation. Candidates should have experience translating project requirements into procurement needs. CIPS Level 4 qualification is desirable. This position is based in Wiltshire with a requirement of at least 4 days onsite per week.

Clearance: DV

Contract Length: Until 30/11/2027

Location: Wiltshire - Minimum 4 days per week onsite

Essential Requirement
  • Procurement tendering evaluation reviewing contract translating project requirement onto procurement
  • Procurement/Tendering experience: Evaluation, placing contracts, reviewing proposals.
  • Translating project requirements into procurement needs.
  • Experience of end-to-end commercial process: Category Management, Procurement, and Contract Management
  • Practical experience and expertise in requirements gathering
  • Practical experience in utilising market insight to aid strategic sourcing and contract management
  • Robust commercial negotiation of commercial and contractual terms, pricing and discounts
  • Practical experience and expertise in Contract management, including managing contracts from contract award to contract closeout
  • Practical experience and expertise in Supplier / Stakeholder management
  • Experience in delivering savings and benefits tracking
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and draft contractual wording with a strong attention to detail
Desirable
  • Experience in handling complex medium and large value contracts
  • CIPS Level 4 or equivalent as accredited by CIPS (or commitment to work towards gaining qualification when in post)
  • Beneficial service/defence background
