Overview

Our client is a highly regarded industry leader in their field. They provide products and services to the construction and architectural specification industries. Their products are used on landmark construction projects worldwide and their business is built on technical excellence, strong relationships, and a commitment to delivering value and innovation to customers.

They are now seeking a Commercial Manager who will lead sales and commercial activities for the business. This is a particularly exciting role as their will be rapid progression opportunities with a position on the senior management team imminent.

Responsibilities
  • Take the lead role in all commercial and sales activity, engaging with existing customers and developing new opportunities.
  • Act as the liaison point with customers on projects, so therefore a close eye will need to be kept on projects and its development.
  • Create and execute commercial strategies to meet and exceed company targets.
  • Leverage your industry networks and use outbound prospecting activity to broaden your sales funnels and expand the customer base.
  • Stay close to existing customers to maintain strong relationships and identify opportunities for further collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure commercial success and smooth project execution.
  • Provide insight and leadership in shaping the further commercial direction of the business.
Experience
  • A commercially‑minded professional who has had exposure to the construction industry from a commercial perspective and is well‑networked.
  • This is a small team so a proactive hands‑on approach to business development and relationship management will be key.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to spot opportunity and diversify into aligned markets.
  • Ambitious and career driven as this presents an opportunity to form part of the senior leadership team in the short term.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
