The role

This role provides expert commercial support to the organisation’s Digital project delivery teams, ensuring the effective sourcing and management of goods and services in line with digital category strategies and public sector procurement regulations.

Candidates must have experience leading on pre-market engagement, sourcing, and contract management activities.

Key Accountabilities:

Pre-Market Engagement: Undertake proactive market analysis and maintain oversight of potential and existing suppliers to identify opportunities, assess market trends, and inform strategic decisions.

Sourcing: Identify and select suppliers using appropriate evaluation criteria to ensure long-term value for money.

Contract Management: Oversee full contract lifecycle activities, including variations, renewals, and closeout.

Change, Policy, and Specialist Advice: Support the advancement of category management maturity and identify opportunities to enhance value delivery.

Key Criteria:
  • Proven experience in evaluating bids, placing contracts, and reviewing proposals.
  • Ability to translate project requirements into clear and effective procurement needs.
  • Demonstrated capability across Category Management, Procurement, and Contract Management.
  • Skilled in using market insight to support strategic sourcing and contract management decisions.
  • Experience in negotiating commercial and contractual terms, including pricing and discounts.
  • Experienced in managing contracts throughout their full lifecycle, from award to closeout.
