Your impact

Leonardo's Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) Line of Business (LoB) is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team and lead the commercial delivery of the support arrangements for the present and future UK Combat Air platforms. It is an exciting time to join the team, and the role holder will have the opportunity to have a key leadership role; shaping the commercial success of the portfolio through supporting other team members development, whilst also leading in contract delivery, building strong customer relationships, and harnessing opportunities for growth and innovation.

You’ll work closely with the Integrated Project Team and with the Customer teams, fostering collaboration, ensuring best practices are followed, and driving forward-thinking commercial solutions that provide optimal outcomes for our customers, and for our Business.

What you’ll bring
  • Act as the commercial lead for the Air national portfolio, providing leadership and governance to business winning and programme delivery supporting the achievement of the IBP.
  • Developing and implementing business solutions to complex problems, ensuring that commercial risk management forms part of all decision making in delivering compelling offers to customers.
  • Nurturing relationships with customers, suppliers and internally through effective collaboration. Building trust, managing expectations and promoting transparency.
  • Negotiation of complex agreements and risk and reward mechanisms, using data and/or evidence to support negotiations.
  • Provide commercial advice, guidance, coaching and mentoring of team members including those outside of the commercial function, and the development and management of commercial personnel.
  • Providing timely and accurate inputs to the Sector and Line of Business Senior Leadership Team, attending and contributing to business reviews, including those with workshare partners, and with customers.
