A leading engineering and infrastructure firm in Bridgwater is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee high value contracts and mentor junior staff. This role requires strong negotiation skills, experience in delivering infrastructure projects, and knowledge of FIDIC and NEC contracts. This role will join BGEN – one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food & beverage industries to deliver next generation, value‑added engineering solutions.
In this role, you'll take the lead in managing a high value FIDIC contract package, making sure everything runs smoothly and in line with project goals.
You'll provide clear commercial oversight, from cost control and forecasting to risk management and change control, while keeping NEC-based contracts aligned across the project.
Building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, you'll guide procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
You'll share insightful reports with senior stakeholders, support dispute resolution, and ensure governance follows BGEN and MGROUP protocols.
Alongside this, you'll mentor junior staff, helping them grow while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
