Where will you be working?

This role will join BGEN – one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food & beverage industries to deliver next generation, value‑added engineering solutions.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you'll take the lead in managing a high value FIDIC contract package, making sure everything runs smoothly and in line with project goals.

You'll provide clear commercial oversight, from cost control and forecasting to risk management and change control, while keeping NEC-based contracts aligned across the project.

Building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, you'll guide procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoring.

You'll share insightful reports with senior stakeholders, support dispute resolution, and ensure governance follows BGEN and MGROUP protocols.

Alongside this, you'll mentor junior staff, helping them grow while fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.

What you'll bring:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field
  • Experience delivering major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Knowledge of FIDIC (Yellow/Silver Book) and NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Background in regulated or high security environments (nuclear/defence desirable)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional body membership (RICS, ICES, CIOB) valued
  • Commercial insight, negotiation expertise, and leadership ability
  • Skilled in risk, change management, and team development
  • Integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
