Commercial Manager

Weymouth, Dorset (On‑Site) – Permanent – Monday‑Thursday 7:30 am‑4:30 pm | Friday 7:30 am‑12:30 pm – Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team in Weymouth, Dorset, and take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of key aerospace projects. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the company's commercial success – leading contract negotiations, managing bids, driving pricing strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with major aerospace customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and management of customer and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all contract terms, export control regulations (ITAR, EAR, DFARS), and aerospace standards (AS9100).
  • Support tendering and bidding processes, developing pricing strategies and cost models to achieve margin targets.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Project Management teams to ensure accurate forecasting, invoicing, and risk control.
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and government/defence agencies.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or a related field (Master’s or MBA desirable).
