Qualifications

  • Chartered status is required.
  • Experience in commercial roles within civil engineering or construction is essential.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of projects & liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Lead monthly cost and value reconciliation reviews.
  • Handle contractual changes including variations and claims.
  • Work with the Project Director on risk management.
  • Mentor the commercial project team.
  • Oversee procurement for favorable outcomes.
  • Maximise cash position through cash flow improvements.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage all commercial aspects of projects & liaise with key stakeholders
  • Lead monthly cost and value reconciliation reviews
  • Handle contractual changes: variations, contractor claims, early warnings
  • Work with the Project Director to manage risk registers
  • Lead & mentor the commercial project team
  • Oversee procurement to deliver commercially advantageous outcomes
  • Maximise cash position via WIP control & cash flow improvements
  • Monitor contractor costs weekly & provide actionable insights
  • Support programme management & drive continuous commercial improvement
About You
