Job description

Commercial Litigation Solicitor, 6+ Years PQE, Cheltenham GBP 62,000+ (DOE). This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role within a nationally recognised dispute resolution practice, where you’ll lead on complex, high-value matters and play an integral role in the future growth of the department. JOB REF: 1697.

The Role
  • You’ll work across a broad range of commercial litigation matters including contractual and corporate litigation, fraud, professional negligence, and contentious regulatory matters.
  • Advise clients on contractual, corporate, regulatory, and negligence disputes.
  • Manage cases from pre-action strategy through to trial and enforcement.
  • Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documents.
  • Coordinate expert witnesses, counsel, and cross‑functional legal teams.
  • Build and grow client relationships across key sectors.
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and trainees.
  • Support the strategic direction of the litigation team, driving innovation and excellence.
Skills Required
  • Applications sought from solicitors with 6+ years PQE in commercial litigation, ideally from a leading UK or international firm.
  • Proven experience in handling high-value and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
  • A client‑first, commercially aware mindset with strong problem‑solving ability.
  • A confident communicator and negotiator with outstanding drafting and advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising junior colleagues and contributing to business growth.
