We are supporting a national not‑for‑profit organisation, established to improve commercial and procurement services across Public Sector organisations who are recruiting for a Commercial Lead (Estates) to drive high‑profile procurement and contract management across the Estates Category including Construction, FM, Repair, Maintenance and Utilities. This is a dynamic, fully remote role offering variety, professional growth, and the chance to influence commercial strategy.

Commercial Lead – Role Overview

The Commercial Lead is responsible for delivering maximum value via commercial activities, influencing commercial strategy as a commercial and procurement expert, supporting procurement and contract management activities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare strategic plans, delivering and making recommendations for actions on all commercial/procurement activity
  • Lead complex competitive tenders and supplier negotiations for the supply of goods and services
  • Support key stakeholders creating strong and effective relationships
  • Lead sourcing processes within required timeframes whilst achieving attractive commercial goals
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and social value policies
  • Lead contract and supplier management programmes including supply chain improvement programmes
  • Identify risks and understand risk management
  • Sourcing, implementing and managing new contracts
Skills and Experience
  • Experienced in Commercial Management / Procurement Management
  • Experience of Estates, Property, Construction and FM Procurement/Commercial Management
  • Experience utilising JCT and NEC forms of contracts
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Analytical, resilient, and collaborative mindset
  • Working knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations (PA23)
  • Proven success in leading full end‑to‑end procurement/commercial cycle
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
