Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised qualification in an MEP or building services-related discipline.
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and commercially astute.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Structured in approach, with excellent organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates sound commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial and financial aspects of allocated projects valued at £7M+.
  • Compile and submit monthly applications.
  • Cost and agree project variation accounts.
  • Prepare and lead monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) meetings.
  • Negotiate and prepare sub-contract order documents.
  • Value and raise monthly sub-contractor payment notifications and pay less notices.
  • Oversee project credit control processes.

About the Role

A leading family-run building services provider is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to join their established team in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a business that has built a strong reputation for quality and reliability over many decades.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the financial management of major projects across the Eastern Region, supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical and mechanical design, installation, and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial and financial aspects of allocated projects valued at £7M+
