Job summary

Elite People Ltd is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning/HVAC Engineer to service commercial sites across the UK as part of our Facilities Management division. The role covers PPM, reactive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems, with emphasis on F-Gas compliance and safety in live environments.

A driving license and relevant qualifications are essential; company vehicle and pension are provided.

Qualifications

F-Gas qualification is essential.
City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent required.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, Heating & Ventilation, or Building Services desirable.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for commercial and retail clients.
Install HVAC systems and ductwork for commercial and retail clients.
Install or service controls including thermostats, actuators, and smart energy systems.
Commission new equipment, complete system testing, and verify operational performance.
Ensure all work complies with F-Gas Regulations, UK Building Regulations, and HSE guidelines.
Follow all workplace safety rules and maintain accurate service reports and RAMS.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on refrigeration circuits, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, pumps, valves, and controls.
Maintain records via CAFM systems and produce F-GAS certification.
