Job summary

Commercial Heating Engineer role in Berkshire is open for experienced technicians. The position covers servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on commercial gas boilers and heating systems, with a Monday-to-Friday 8–5 schedule. On offer is a salary of £50,000–£55,000 per year, plus a profit-related bonus, pension and company vehicle after probation.

A full UK driving licence is required. You will work across Berkshire, the surrounding area and the M4 corridor, using your knowledge of

Qualifications

• Gas Safe qualifications and experience with commercial heating systems are required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability are essential.
• Experience with commercial boilers and plant, and knowledge of heating controls.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining commercial gas boilers and heating systems.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnosing heating faults and completing repairs.
• Responding to reactive breakdowns and emergency callouts.
• Inspecting and maintaining commercial plant rooms.
• Servicing pumps, pressurisation units and expansion vessels.
• Diagnosing circulation, pressure and temperature problems.
• Fault finding on heating controls and distribution systems.
• Identifying and completing remedial works.
• Undertaking heating system upgrades and minor installation works.
• Completing accurate service reports and compliance documentation.
• Working safely and delivering professional customer service.

Commercial Heating Engineer

A Newbury, Berkshire commercial HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation firm are looking for a Commercial Heating Engineer to join the team.

The Commercial Heating Engineer salary is £50-55k plus profit related bonus, on call rota, pension, sick, life assurance, all tools, company vehicle with private mileage after probation, manufacturer training and more.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining commercial gas boilers and heating systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnosing heating faults and completing repairs
• Responding to reactive breakdowns and emergency callouts
• Inspecting and maintaining commercial plant rooms
• Servicing pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels and associated equipment
• Diagnosing circulation, pressure and temperature problems
• Fault finding on heating controls, valves and distribution systems
• Identifying and completing remedial works
• Undertaking heating system upgrades and minor installation works
• Completing accurate service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation
• Working safely and in accordance with relevant regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial heating servicing, maintenance and repair
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability
• Current relevant commercial gas qualifications and Gas Safe competencies
• Experience maintaining commercial boilers and associated plant
• Good knowledge of commercial heating controls and distribution systems
• Experience with pump, valves and pressurisation equipment
• Additional mechanical or HVAC qualifications beneficial
• Electrical fault-finding knowledge advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
