Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs on commercial boilers.
  • Carry out PPM activities and respond to reactive works according to service agreements.
  • Ensure all work aligns with Gas Safety Regulations and internal health & safety policies.

Commercial Gas Heating Service & Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Gas Heating Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our client's successful and well-established Building Services division in Belfast. The company has a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality mechanical and electrical maintenance solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare and education facilities throughout Northern Ireland.

Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Commercial Gas Engineer with up‑to‑date Gas Safe certification (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A)
  • Practical experience in servicing, repairing and maintaining commercial boiler and heating systems across a wide range of customer sites
  • Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Previous exposure to commercial plant rooms and mechanical building services environments
  • Strong commitment to safety compliance and delivering a high standard of work
  • Confidence to work independently while contributing effectively within a team of skilled engineers
  • Background in Facilities Management or Building Services (highly advantageous)
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, fault diagnostics and repairs on commercial boilers, burners and associated heating equipment
  • Carry out PPM activities and respond to reactive works in line with service agreements
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of boiler plant, pumping systems, pipework and associated controls
  • Ensure all work aligns with Gas Safety Regulations and internal health & safety policies
  • Complete accurate service documentation and maintain detailed records for each site
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Remuneration

£18 per hour + on‑call/call‑out allowance. Company van and fuel card provided.
