The role involves maintaining commercial plant-room appliances, performing maintenance and repairs, and requires several years of experience in the field. The compensation package includes a salary of £52,000-£60,000, 25 days holiday, and equipment provisions. This position is primarily London-based.

• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair work.
• Perform boiler swaps/installations as needed.

Position: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: All work around M25

Salary: £52‑60 k

Our client, a long‑established and reputable Mechanical & HVAC Contractor with over 30 years of industry experience, is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their expanding HVAC Services Team. Operating across London and the Home Counties, the company provides installation, maintenance, and repair services to a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.

Responsibilities

The Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of commercial plant‑room appliances from gas boilers to associated mechanical equipment, undertaking both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair work. Additionally, from time to time boiler swaps/installs will be required.

Qualifications

• Valid ACS Commercial Gas qualifications
• At least five years’ experience working on commercial heating systems
• Minimum five years’ experience in the field as a Commercial/Combustion Gas Engineer
• Valid Commercial Gas tickets
• Previous experience with steam, oil, and LPG is beneficial
• A time‑served apprenticeship is beneficial
• UK driving licence
• Ideally based inside the M25

Remuneration & Benefits

• Basic salary £52,000‑£60,000 DOE
• 40‑hour week
• Company van with prior agreement for personal use
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• 1‑8 call‑out with £150 retainer, 4 hours minimum OT
• Phone, PDA and specialist tools provided
