Commercial Gas Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Company Van + Overtime + Benefits
Location: North East (covering multiple sites)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading building services and facilities maintenance contractor on a permanent basis. You'll be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of commercial properties - including secure and live environments such as prisons, so professionalism and reliability are essential. This is a mobile role, working on a portfolio of public and private sector sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, fault finding, and repairs on commercial heating and hot water systems.
  • Undertake PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
  • Work safely and efficiently in live environments (e.g., prisons, offices, and public buildings).
  • Complete compliance documentation and ensure work is carried out to current gas regulations.
  • Participate in a call-out rota and overtime when required.
Requirements
  • Current Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1 / CODNCO1) and relevant elements (e.g., CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1).
  • Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer in a maintenance or FM environment.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass security clearance / background checks (essential due to site type).
