Job Title

Commercial Gas Engineer

Location

Coventry (around Stoke-on-Tees surrounding)

Salary

£39k per annum

Responsibilities

The gas engineer will plan and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to commercial/industrial boilers, and complete inspection and gas safety check certificates.

• Ensure PPM is carried out in line with task schedules, frequencies and industry best practices.
• Identify any defects and provide parts list and estimated timescales for completion.
• Ensure boilers are transported and handled in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations.
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and customers.
• Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and plan operational duties, working with various systems and reporting as requested.
• Work with small-scale plant rooms, centralised heating boilers, gas heaters and other commercial appliances.
• Visit commercial customer premises to fit, service and repair boilers and centralised heating systems that have broken down.
• Assess, dismantle, repair or replace relevant parts.
• Support the field service team and uphold internal operational processes.

Qualifications

• Commercial Tickets – need either COCN1 or CODNCO1.
• Commercial Catering Tickets – highly desirable.
• Domestic Gas Qualifications – desirable.
• Experience working within commercial environments.
• Driving licence.
• IPAF & PASMA certificates.
• OFTEC – desirable.
• Multi‑skilled experience within minor electrical/fabric tasks.
