About The Role

RAC have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our fast-paced and collaborative Consumer Roadside team. This permanent role sits at the intersection of data analysis and commercial business partnering, supporting the financial performance of our growth and acquisition activity across consumer and retention spaces. As RAC enters an exciting period of data transformation, this role offers the opportunity to shape how we use data to drive commercial decisions - from building P&L's and understanding KPIs, to influencing strategy across channels and propositions. You'll work on product and proposition development, new business routes to market, and brand licensing, helping shape how we move forward with P&L and commercial strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Commercial Insight & Decision Support

- Provide financial insight and challenge across:

  • Product delivery and propositions
  • Member lifecycle, cross-sell and upsell
  • Marketing and commercial planning
  • Brand licensing and new business development
  • Support decision-making through robust analysis including:
  • Net Present Value (NPV)
  • Cost-benefit analysis
  • Investment payback periods
  • Reporting & Performance Analysis

- Develop and maintain reports combining volume and value metrics to:

  • Identify performance trends and variances
  • Analyse KPIs, conversions to revenue, and cost structures
  • Build top-to-bottom profit views
  • Deliver commercial commentary in weekly/monthly trading and review meetings
  • Ensure stakeholders understand their financials and the impact of their decisions
  • Budgeting & Forecasting

- Support annual budgets and quarterly/ad hoc reforecasts

  • Ensure clarity of assumptions, phased budgeting, and stakeholder buy-in
  • Track performance against key financial and operational KPIs

What You'll Need

This role is ideal for someone with a commercial mindset and strong analytical skills, looking to grow into a business partnering role. You'll be comfortable working with data, but also confident engaging with stakeholders and influencing decisions.

  • Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; SQL experience highly desirable
  • Experience in data transformation and building P&L views
  • Understanding of KPIs, revenue conversion, and cost structures
  • Commercial awareness and ability to challenge constructively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working across channels in a fast-paced environment
  • Part-qualified or early-stage finance studies beneficial but not essential

Location: Bradley Stoke, Bristol (Hybrid - Tuesdays & Wednesdays in office, remainder remote)
