Wade Macdonald is partnering with a London-based engineering client to recruit a Commercial Finance professional on a hybrid basis. You will work on project costing, forecasting, revenue recognition and reporting across a portfolio of projects.
The role offers strong exposure to business partnering and finance/operations collaboration, with a path toward senior commercial finance responsibilities.
Location: London Hybrid 3 days in the office
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 plus Bonus and Benefits

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role will provide hands-on commercial finance support across a portfolio of projects. You will play an important part in maintaining accurate project financial information, supporting forecasting and reporting, and helping the wider business understand project performance. The position offers increasing exposure to analysis and business partnering as your experience develops.
Duties will include:
You will ideally be part-qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, although qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered. Some exposure to project accounting, commercial finance or FP&A would be beneficial. Strong Excel skills, confidence working with detailed data and good communication skills are essential, alongside a methodical approach, curiosity and a genuine desire to develop commercially.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong technical experience in project and commercial finance while working closely with experienced finance and operational stakeholders. You will gain exposure to forecasting, cash management, reporting and business partnering, with clear scope for your responsibilities to grow as your capability develops.
