An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Executive to join our team, here at Yorkshire Baker. Reporting into the Senior National Account Manager, the main purpose of this role is to support the administration of daily commercial tasks, analysis of sales figures and market analysis as well as to help to drive profitable growth at YB and assist with category marketing and competitor monitoring.

Main duties include (but not limited to):
  • Ownership of internal sales reporting. Creating weekly / monthly sales analysis and supporting with ad hoc analysis for customer meetings
  • Effective communication with key disciplines across the site, (marketing, NPD, technical, purchasing, finance, planning and operations) internally managing the customer’s requirements
  • Provide support to the Commercial Managers / Commercial Controller / Category Marketing Manager
  • Track customer KPIs and EPOS through available data sources (IRI & Kantar) - share and present findings to ensure Cranswick and its customers are informed to the best our ability to improve category performance and site profitability
  • Maintain customer systems and internal price files
  • Maintain administration of customer accruals and overriders
  • Assisting with forecasting documents, budgeting and Xmas planning
  • Management of promotional plan activity administration internally
  • Contribute to category range management through clear analysis and insight and assist with NPD, ranging and merchandising opportunities within this process
  • Work with commercial and operational colleagues to develop new product costings
Candidate requirements:
  • Detailed and accurate
  • Numerate and analytical – ability to interpret data and identify trends and sales opportunities
  • Proficient in excel and Microsoft packages
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Ability to grow and maintain relationships at all levels both internally & externally
  • Good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Retail or food service background would be advantageous
