Job summary

Adler and Allan Group in the UK is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our growing team. The role involves installing electricity networks safely to BS7671 standards, supporting EV charging hub builds, and traveling to sites across the UK, including overnight stays.

You will review work instructions, provide technical advice on cable installation, perform site surveys, and carry out LV terminations while coordinating with Project and Site Managers to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess relevant electrical qualifications and be familiar with BS 7671.
• Experience with EV charging hub development is preferred.
• UK driving license and right to work in the UK are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver work packages to a high standard in line with BS7671.
• Review work instructions and provide technical advice on cable installation.
• Complete electrical site surveys for existing and EV charger locations.
• Carry out LV cable terminations and work with LV switch rooms/substations.
• Liaise with Project & Site Managers to meet project timelines.

Electrician
Stevenage - Overnights stays will be required
Permanent, full-time

We are looking for a team player with the relevant industry experience, and someone who is eventually looking to progress into a leadership role. This role will involve UK travel to the sites on which we work, with overnight stays where sites are outside of a reasonable travelling distance.

The candidate will be required to ensure that all electricity networks are installed in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard and in accordance with Utility Line Management Systems and electrical technical guidelines. They will work safely at all times and ensure safety of all those working around them.

More about the role:

• To deliver work packages to a high standard (BS7671)
• Review and understand fully the requirements of all work instructions
• Provide technical advice on all cable installation, and design works
• Complete electrical site surveys on existing supplies & new EV charger locations
• Carry out risk assessments of the workplace
• Complete LV cable terminations from 240mm – 1000mm
• Working with large LV supplies within LV switch rooms and substations
• Requirement to liaise closely with the Project & Site Managers to ensure workload is managed effectively in line with project timelines

Skills & Qualifications

• Must possess a full clean driving license (up to 3.5T only)
• 18th edition C&G L3 2921-33 & or 2921-34, testing and inspection
• AM2/NVQ
• C&G 2330
• Knowledge and understanding of current Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) at Level 3 (Regulated Qualifications Framework)
• Experience with electrical infrastructure development, preferably the build of EV charging hubs
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team or individually
• Right to work in the UK
• Advantageous –EUSR SHEA Power / Emergency First Aid


• SMSTS/ SSSTS (preferred but not essential)
• A professional manner when engaging with clients and their representatives is essential


• Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations
